We have successfully delivered our four core courses (or versions of them) in South Africa and in 13 African countries over the past 20 years. A challenge that banks in Africa faced when we delivered training on behalf of the major South African banks to their African operations and subsidiaries is the cost of travel and accommodation for our facilitators who are invariably flown into the training venue from South Africa. This added significantly to the overall cost of the training and served as a barrier to local bankers accessing our training content.
To address this, and to make our training courses more widely available, we are launching Project Africa to help empower commercial and business bankers throughout sub-Saharan Africa through licensing local training providers in a number of countries who will deliver the courses with our support and guidance. In this way, we hope to ensure that local banks will gain the skills they need cost-effectively while, at the same time, empowering in-country institutions and businesses to increase their own training offerings and to gain additional revenue streams.
Training courses can be offered to bankers individually on an open course basis or to banks as part of the skills development curriculum. The content of the courses that will be licensed can be seen by clicking of the “Training Courses” tab above.
If you are a training provider and would be keen to work with us on this project, we’d love to hear from you. For more detail please fill in your details in the boxes below and click on the button to download the explanatory document.
